Autumn 2015The seasons come and the seasons go! It's hard to believe where the time goes. After a poorish Summer, the Autumn came quickly and the country went slowly into hibernation mode with the start of another school year! That has its advantages for getting out and about for photography as things are quieter and there is less competition for car parking in the nicer spots. The downside is that there are generally more wet and drab days so the photo opportunities can be limited. The light at this time of the year can be quite soft, particularly early and late in the day. On the right day there can be very big skies and the sunsets, with the right amount of cloud can be quite spectacular. On the water, the wildlife can be very active with a lot of whale and dolphin activity at this time of the year. I even saw a Bluefin Tuna leap clear of the water off the Cork Coast in September! Not exactly an everyday sight. No camera at the ready of course, and as is mostly the case with marine wildlife, no second chances either! So onwards to the Winter to see what opportunities that season will bring. Comments
